Odd "isometric" body shaping method (FREE for next few hours)

Note: You may have noticed that Santa Cruz personal trainer and bootcamp owner Tyler Bramlett is taking the fitness world by storm this week with a brand new style of fat-loss cross training. Well today, he also unveiled a strange body-sculpting method called "Power Isometrics." And you can get it FREE until tonight, midnight. Details below…

Did you know you can shape and sculpt your most important body parts without lifting heavy weights or using expensive equipment?

And even if you DO like lifting weights, you can use a special method called "isometrics" to get even faster and better results. It's basically a strategic series of "static" muscular contractions.

The strange thing is, even though there's a bunch of research proving how well this stuff works, almost no one is using it. But my friend and Santa Cruz trainer and bootcamp owner is one of the top experts.

And he's giving away a brand new program called "Power Isometrics" TODAY only. In fact, you've only got a few more hours to secure your free copy. Details here…

"Power Isometrics" FREE today <--- ends="" hours="" in="" offer="" span="">

Tyler is really one of the BEST people in the world you could learn these methods from. Here's why…

He has traveled the country hunting down fitness experts way, way off the “mainstream” grid, soaking up everything they had to teach…

… and he learned plenty of underground techniques like the isometrics he's sharing today in his new bonus program.

He's been teaching this stuff right alongside his groundbreaking CT-50 fatloss system for years, but only to a select few private clients. He's never written this stuff down for anyone, until today.

And now he's giving it away for FREE to everyone who invests in the complete CT-50 fat-loss cross training system before midnight...

Invest in CT-50 and get "Power Isometrics FREE <-- ends="" midnight="" span="">

(…don't worry, if you bought CT-50 earlier in the week, you'll also be getting this exciting new bonus…)

In case you missed my prediction this morning. I think the CT-50 system might actually be the next big workout trend. So you might as well be one of those cool folks who get's in on the action early… :-)

It has all the fat-burning benefits of popular workout trends like Crossfit and P90X, but without the pitfalls of high-injury rates or excessively long workouts. In fact, Tyler's fat torching CT-50 workouts are all DONE in 20 minutes or less!

CT-50 is also doable even for total beginners, but still offers a crazy challenge for super-fit former athletes. That's because the program features 5 levels of difficulty, each one capped off with a "Challenge Workout" that helps you decide if you're ready for the next stage!

And all the workouts are filmed as follow-along videos, so you just have to press play and let Tyler coach you through the session for optimal fatloss. And just so you know, the videos are shot in HD and are super high quality.

The entire system is a class act, just like my friend Tyler. But you've only got a few hours left to get CT-50 at 30% off. The price goes up at midnight, and if you don't act, you'll also lose out on your free copy of Power Isometrics

Go grab that now, while it's on your mind, and you can come back and thank me later… :-)

The “Dirty Little Secret” That Builds Magazine-Cover Bodies

The last couple days I’ve been sharing some new workout ideas that have been shaking up the fitness world lately. Today I wanted to share with you the one “rule” that will make you or break you when it comes to seeing the results you want…

This one simple "rule" can be found in the workout programs of the best physiques in the world -- and it had nothing to do with genetics, your diet, or how long you spend in the gym?

The “rule” I’m talking about can be summarized in just 3 words…

Form… Follow… Function!

What this means for you is that the exercises you choose to use in your workouts and how good you get at these exercises determines the way your body will look, feel and perform. Let me elaborate…

Have you ever seen an athlete with a bad body? My bet is NO!

That’s because athletes and their coaches, whose sole goal is to improve performance understand this 1 “rule” better then most.

Instead of focusing on working out your muscles or focusing on how out of breath you are, athletes focus on whether or not they are performing their “exercises” with greater strength, skill or speed.

Just take a second to imagine what your abs would look like if all you could ever do was a few simple leg raises. And… you were never shown how to make the exercise more difficult.

You probably wouldn't be able to see much in the way of results, right?

Now imagine if the opposite were true… Instead of being stuck on a basic exercise, you knew the EXACT progression that you need to use to work up to performing an exercise like a hanging knee tuck, a knees to elbows or even a full hanging leg raise.

If you knew this progression and you worked your way up, do you think your abs would change in the process?

They wouldn't just change… because of the principal that “Form, Follows Function” they would be forced to change, no matter what!

This is the power of movement progressions that show you the step-by-step way to go from basic, beginner exercises to more complex ones, all the while sending Loud And Clear fat burning, muscle toning signals that your body can’t ignore.

If you wanna learn more about movement progressions and see how the’ve helped others lose 71lbs in only 45 minutes a week, check this out…

Be Awesome

P.S. Without using this “rule” in your exercise routine, you will doom yourself to endless plateaus and repeated failure! However… with this “rule” you’ll send loud and clear fat burning, muscle toning signals that force your body to change. Find out how you can easily use this “rule” to transformyour body in 45 minutes a week…

7 Workout SINS to AVOID

2014 has been a crazy year in the fitness world. Many trends have come and gone mostly because they simply could’t deliver the results they promised.

I thought about writing an article on this subject, but my friend beat me to it :) So… here are the 7 WORST Workout SINS Of 2014…

Workout Sin #1 - Muscle Confusion

Over the last decade, you've probably noticed how popular the concept of muscle confusion has become, right?

While there is a possibility that you could get results doing random workouts every day, the chances of you seeing a dramatic change in your body is slim to none.

There's a simple principal in high level physical therapy and athletic training circles called the S.A.I.D. principal that PROVES muscle confusion doesn't work as well as the mainstream media wants you to believe.

The S.A.I.D principal basically says, your body only adapts (AKA burns fat and builds lean toned muscle) to the stimulus or exercise you use. And... other fitness experts claim that it can take 2-3 weeks for that adaptation to be achieved.

What this means is, when you constantly do different workouts, this adaptation (AKA body transformation) process never get's a chance to fully express it self.

It's kind of like you wanting to walk to the store and instead of taking long brisk steps, you take 3 steps forward and then 2 steps back. It'll work, but it will take you forever to get there.

Workout Sin #2 - High Intensity Interval Training

Practically every new exercise program these days is using some form of High Intensity Interval Training. The reason for this is because of a study you've probably heard of called the Tabata study.

This study showed that people who exercised for 4 minutes using 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest were able to get better results then people who exercised for 60 minutes!

While this is true, most people abuse this information (usually for marketing purposes) by neglecting to mention that the group that exercised for only 4 minutes (all who were olympic caliber athletes) were working at 170% of their VO2 Max!

This means that the interval group was exercising with an intensity level that normal people like you and me will NEVER achieve.

Which then means, that most workout program that use exclusively intervals are misleading you by doing what scientists call, "skewing the data."

This is not to say intervals are bad. Intervals are a great way to train. However... you must use them with another method of progression, and your workouts need to be shorter not longer!

Which leads into the next sin...

Workout Sin #3 - You Need To Exercise More

One of the biggest problems people make when it comes to their workouts is believing that more is always better. This is not true!

In FACT, would you believe me if I told you that you can exercise less than 45 minutes a week and still get amazing results?

If this sounds too good to be true just checkout the video proof on the next page because the truth is that everyone struggles with the desire to workout more :(

However... did you know that excess exercise can increase cortisol (AKA the FAT STORING hormone)?

And... did you know that the only way to prevent this cortisol spike from happening is to exercise less? Sometimes as little as just 9-minutes!

Yes I did just say that you can exercised for as little as 9-minutes and still manage to get better results then people exercising for 45, 60 or even 90 minutes!

Workout Sin #4 - Strength Training Is Better Than Cardio
AND
Workout Sin #5 - Cardio Is Better Than Strength Training

This may be a little confusing because I'm gonna attack the 2 most popular exercise methods t the same time.

However... stick with me, because it will all make sense soon. Let me ask you a question to prove my point...

You've probably noticed that there are 2 types of people who exercise regularly:

PERSON #1 - Believes Strength Training Is The Key To Burning Fat, Building Lean Toned Muscle And Transforming Your Body.

AND

PERSON #2 - Believes That Cardio Is The Ultimate Key To Losing Fat, Building Lean Toned Muscle And Transforming Your Body.

Now... strength training is great and it's definitely effective for building muscle. However, I've met a few strength athletes that can lift heavy weights, but can't walk up a flight of stairs without losing their wind.

You don't want that, do you?

NO! I didn't think so :) If you're anything like me or my clients, you want to develop a lean body that looks great and performs great!

On the other side, cardio is great for burning fat, if it's done correctly. Which is why cardio is not the enemy and must be viewed as another piece of the body transformation puzzle.

So... you could go out there and follow a program that does 30 minutes of strength and 30 minutes of cardio. However...

Since I've already pointed out that longer workouts can be less effective and can trash your fat loss hormones, the better thing for you to do if you want to see the amazing body transformation results you desire, is to use the newly re-discovered workout technology that I'll share with you in a sec.

But first, let me tackle the last 2 sins...

Workout Sin #6 - You Have To Lift Weights
AND
Workout Sin #7 - Bodyweight Training Is Best

Just like cardio and strength training, you've probably noticed that people have been dividing themselves into 2 different camps...

CAMP 1 - You Have To Lift Weights To See Results!

OR

CAMP 2 - Bodyweight Training Is The Best Way To See Results!

And... just like strength and cardio, both people are WRONG!

The best way to view exercise is to understand the signals that each exercise is sending to your body. We already touched on this "adaptation" above and you should know by now that the signals you send your body during your workouts are what give you the body transformation results you desire, NOT whether it's bodywight or lifting weights.

Even worse, when people only lift weights or only do bodyweight exercises, they are KILLING their potential results because each type of exercise sends a different signal to your body and the more LOUD AND CLEAR fat burning, body transforming signals you can send, the faster your results will be!

Now that you know the TRUTH about the 7 Workout Sins you need to AVOID, I also wanted to share with you an ancient story about a bull that changed the way I look at my workouts for good!

Plus, as promised... I'll show you dozens of real world body transformations from people just like you who used this ancient workout secret to send loud and clear body transformation signals to their bodies all in less than an hour a week!

So… if your at all interested in learning the most powerful workout technique nobody is talking about, that will melt the fat off your body, sculpt lean muscles and completely transform your body in a matter of weeks... then the Next Page will share with you how a story about a bull from 536 BC changed my body and the bodies of thousands of other for good...

I had heard this story before, but never really understood why it was so important until now. Enjoy the read!

This Ancient Story From 536 BC Can Help You Lose 10-71lbs?

Did you know that there’s a story from 536 BC that contains the secret to losing 10, 30 or even 70+ lbs of fat?

Even stranger… would you believe me if I told you that the story was about a BULL?

Well… I know it sounds strange but if you give it a chance, the ancient wisdom contained in this story could change the way you look at your workouts for good…

Back in 536 BC, there was a man by the name of Milo from the Greek city of Croton.

He was a 6 time Olympic champion and his physique was so impressive that his story is still around today over 2,600 years after he died!

As the story goes, Milo built his legendary physique by training with a baby calf…

He would lift this calf up on his shoulders and carry it every single day and… as the calf turned into a bull, Milo sent a loud and clear signal to his body that forced his physique to change.

The ancient secret Milo discovered, is that the way your body looks right now, does NOT depend on the length or intensity of your workouts or some fancy diet program. In fact…

The ONLY Way To Permanently Transform Your Body Is To Send It Loud And Clear Body Transformation Signals!

Let me show you what this means...

Imagine that you were alive 5,000 years ago. You’re out one day, walking through the forest, when all of a sudden a giant Grizzly Bear jumps out behind you… and he looks hungry!

Heart pounding, you sprint as fast as you can in the other direction and climb the nearest tree…

What “signal” do you think this “workout” is sending to your body about how to adapt to make sure you’re in the best possible Grizzly-escaping form?

Easy: Build muscle that you need to run… and burn off fat that’s weighing you down and making you bear-bait.

Sounds simple, right?

Now picture this: Instead of running from a predator and scrambling up a tree, now you’re just jogging through the woods for no apparent reason.

And… you keep it up until the timer goes off on your phone an hour later telling you your workout is over.

Okay, so what are your movements telling your body to do this time?

It might not be what you intended…

Because… what your body hears is, “Burn all the muscle, all the bone density, all the tendons, and all the ligaments you can – just keep enough to run at this pace. Oh, and while you’re at it, store some body fat because that’s the best fuel for long, slow activities.”

As you can see…

The Best Way To Send Your Body Loud And Clear Fat Burning, Muscle Toning Signals Is To Choose The RIGHT Exercises In The RIGHT Order!

Lucky for you, I recently came across something new called “Progressive Movement Technology™” which improves on the existing workout model by giving you an EXACT template of the best exercises in the best order so you can transform your body at record speeds! You can learn all about it here…

=> What Is “Progressive Movement Technology™” And How Can ItHelp You Lose 10, 30 Or Even 71+ lbs…

Be Awesome

P.S. Just in case it sounds to good to be true, you also have to check out the transformation story at the top of the article where a girl used the information from this story to lose 71lbs! You can see pictures and check out herfull story here…

Bodyweight Training On A Different Spectrum

A lot of the typical bodyweight training you see is people doing various squats, push-ups, weird kipping pull-ups and even (I have no idea why they keep doing this) aerobics. Basic exercises are essential to developing a strong foundation for your body and how you control the mechanics of the movements. I believe in doing various types of bodyweight exercises to learn what works best for that individual. Weights are always awesome especially when you can kick ass lifting heavy things from full range to partial plus adding in an odd object or 2 but training using your own body can be just as incredible even as a beginner or an advanced level. At times, the typical normal training becomes boring and need to change things up. Add a little spice to your training by picturing certain situations in your imagination to utilize the muscles needed for that exercise. Some people are just so analytical that they forget why their training. When I train I want to feel like a little kid playing and just have fun with what I do, not be a stressed out adult who overlooks and makes it look scary because they're too pushy to have a little fun.

One of the best exercises in the world of bodyweight training is the pull-up. These days because of Crossfit, the pull-up has become somewhat of a dangerous exercise because people are "taught" to overwork the joints and kip so they can get more reps when in fact their body isn't ready or even needing to do that. Unless you're in rock climbing or moving through ladders in a safe environment, kipping shouldn't even be apart of your regimen. If you want to learn how to do a one-arm pull-up its nearly impossible to kip and you are more likely to destroy tendons and joints if you do that. Real pull-ups are controlled, as strict as possible and the body must be unison when you flex the muscles needed to do a pull-up. You don't kip in a push-up or a squat so why do it on a pull-up? The real power and keeping the joints from harm is the understanding of knowing how to grip, tighten the abs, moving in line with the elbows and going as straight as possible. Some like to move around the bar or do muscle ups which builds explosive strength but it still takes control and contraction when needed to do those things.

The true fun in using your own bodyweight is being able to move freely through space in a variety of ways whether it Hand Balancing, various Gymnastics, Animal Style or Yoga; it's about using the freedom to play around your environment and utilizing your body's strength and power. Once you learn how to handle it, it's one of the greatest gifts to have in life because you are living happily, enjoying what you love and it brings out your creativity. In the beginning it's tough to get the hang of things and you practice as much as you can and finding what works best for you because not all of us move the same way so we need to customize how we utilize the best of our abilities to progress in true fashion.

From the beginning to being at an advanced level, your training ought to be an adventure, finding the unknown and learning things about yourself through your movements. Your personality opens up without ever saying a word and sure it can be frightening sometimes because you never know what might come next but you create the adventure, it's yours and only you know will be in the next chapter. People might look at you funny, they may even laugh or hell run away because what you're doing scares them but for you it is your way of having fun, living outside the box and not always coloring in the lines. The adventure brings you the results you want and you bask in the glory that is your creativity and the way you want to live. Bodyweight Training is no longer a couple words, it has become your sanctuary and it builds both mind and body as if they were the same thing. Be adventurous and move to your fullest potential.

Happy Thor's Day everyone, be awesome and have a great day.

Push-up For Veterans

I'm not one to be very Patriotic and it's not really my thing to celebrate big holidays but hey every now and then it's good to celebrate those who have given their lives so we can enjoy what we have in life. Veterans Day is not just a regular day to celebrate, it's a day we honor and tribute to our fellow man/woman of the military and to give thanks for what they do and have done. Men and women have gone through training that would make the average man want to puke and it takes a special kind of athlete to make it through a rough training program and then get sent off someplace to fight or rescue. Some of these people are the toughest and most rough athletes you can imagine (Rangers, SEALs, Marines). My great-grandfather was a general in the army, my dad was in the Coast Guard and my cousin Danny was in the military so it's important we acknowledge what they have done no matter how big or small because they did make a difference one way or another.

In the military one of the standard exercises for basic training is doing plenty of push-ups. It doesn't matter if you do 50 at a time or 100 or more, it's one of the most simple forms of conditioning and can be done anywhere, there are many variations of the push-up but the basic military one stands out because even as simple as it is it can take down even the strongest of men. To do them in high reps takes mental strength to another level. I'm not particularly a fan of push-ups but every once in a while get into positon and crank out a few here and there. When you can make it creative and not just doing the dull up and down motion, you can crank out quite a few reps if you adjust your thinking.

We all have at least one person in our family that was in the military, I come from a family of men who were in it so it's not uncommon to notice a thing or two. Some families however have men and women in the military that are strict as hell and although I'm all for having some form of discipline I don't find it particularly healthy to make it so strict it takes the fun out of somebody. Life may not all be fun and games but at least cut loose every now and then, if you're on a military base or on a mission that's one thing where you have to be alert at all times but at home, learn to cut loose will yeah. I may get heat for this because I've never been in the service and I don't understand the discipline of being a soldier but I do however have the military in my blood so don't knock me for not understanding in some form. The military has great qualities to teach people and help them in some way to push their potential.

So today, we salute you fellow veterans and one particular salute for me goes out to those in my family and one to my fellow strongman Mike Bruce an ex-Marine and one hell of a man. Want to get a hell of a workout to salute these fighting and fallen men and women then add in push-ups to your workout today to honor them. I don't care if all you do is 25 or 500, do what you can because each rep brings honor and hope to those who serve and knowing that we're all in it together fighting for what we love and gives us meaning.

Happy Veterans Day everyone. Be awesome and I salute you guys, keep it up, kick ass and come home safe.

Damn I’m Hungry

Working out has many benefits; raising hormones, a high level of endorphins, increased metabolism and other things but one thing is for sure (from my experience and others I've been around) is the hunger you get afterwards. Food is meant to fuel us and with training, you'll need to satisfy that hunger. This doesn't mean you go grab a McDonalds or a Pizza from Dominos or anything of that sort. Eating good food is essential for how you recover, how you handle your intake and feeling like you have conquered something. There are people however that don't realize what they're doing to themselves when they finish a workout; I've literally seen people finish a workout then go out and smoke a cigarette right after and it makes me want to slap those people or someone finished a brutal routine and then went out and got drunk or had extremely unhealthy food like at a carnival or something. If you want the best out of your body, you'll need to find what works best for you and for your budget because some foods like really good whole foods can be very expensive so choose wisely how you'll satisfy your hunger.

Fueling the body is part of the process of not just getting in shape and not everyone is going to look like a Mr. Olympia so it's important to understand what foods work for you and how they help you with your body's needs. Me personally I eat what works for me and I've been eating rather healthy by having certain foods when I need to like organic meats and raw milk. I also make smoothies with my Nutri-Bullet and every now and then I take supplements from Superman Herbs to get that extra boost without all the crap that's in your typical supplement store. However I do like my share of Burgers & Fries, Chinese Food, Pizza and good old Mexican with healthy chicken tacos and plenty of veggies and sour cream. Back in June I was over 260 lbs. and i'm 5'10, I didn't feel that heavy and I was still in pretty good shape for my size but I felt that's way too big for me so I changed things up a bit to really fuel my body and train a little differently. I still ate my favorite foods but cut back on a couple things and my weight started to drop. I'm now down to the upper 240's and I didn't do any specific routines and didn't time my meals or anything. I trained hard when I felt like it and ate when I felt hungry. Every now and then like once a week I would fast to let my body repair itself. People have this notion that you need to eat this at a certain time or train at this point during the day and how many things should be on their plate and what others try to tell you what real healthy food is when in fact some of that can be harming you. The real food is eating good fruits & veggies, organic meats, non-pasturized milk & dairy and drinking plenty of water. Keep it simple.

If you really want to get the best out of your body stay away from sugary stuff and breads (grains) as much as possible. These days I rarely ever eat candy and I like to make sandwiches with bread every now and then. It's not bad to have those things every now and then because there at times where you just need to cut loose. I do drink soda every once in a while as well like Coke but I don't drink like a whole liter in one shot, I use to do that when I was younger but now that I'm older it's not that fun. I have a bottle or can maybe less than a few times a week and I'm getting better drinking it less and less. So do your best to drink more water everyday and far less soda or cut it out completely and see how your body feels. I'm a sucker for Subway sandwiches, getting those footlong clubs or a chicken breast with bacon and I only get one at a time and that's usually after a major workout like a deck of cards doing push-ups and squats or an animal workout that goes for 15 min. or more. I haven't had one in a while. Eat whole foods as much as possible and since we all can't eat the same amount, experiment and find the amount you need that works for you and there ways to research for foods if you're on a budget. It's not easy to eat good food if you're traveling on the road because more often than not there are more unhealthy food places than there are good ones, be smart and work a system that suits you.

Lastly, don't be afraid to eat. If you need to drop weight, find a way to work with that but know you can still eat your favorite foods and simply cut back on a few things and eat far less crap. Train in a way that will help you and you can still build muscle while losing weight. Another thing there is a major difference between fat loss and weight loss, many people get that confused. You can still look incredible from dropping fat but because you may lose weight you may not always be satisfied with what comes out of it. I'm over 240 lbs. but I'm not obese or have tons of fat all over me, I've got enough muscle that works to my liking and I can move very well beyond most people that weight plus I exercise every single day, however if I didn't work out and ate good food frequently and I was the same exact weight I would look obese and wouldn't move athletically like I want to and I'd be fatigued all the time. See the difference? Don't be scared to eat what you like, just be smart about it and learn your body's needs and means for what food works best for you and how it helps with the goals you want to achieve. Don't ever starve yourself or eat less than 500 calories a day, that's unhealthy and that does more harm to your body than you realize. Eat when you're hungry, stay away from sugary foods as much as possible, drink plenty of water, eat good whole fresh meats (unless you're vegetarian) and eat plenty of fruits and veggies. If you want to cut loose once in a while do so but don't ever starve yourself, it's just plain stupid.

Happy Monday everybody and be awesome today. Have fun and eat well and also train great too.

Bringing A Sense Of Humor To Your Training

In some parts of gyms, or just training in general some people are so uptight, so rigid within themselves and have no humor whatsoever why so serious? I understand it's good to get some of that stress out and you're going after your goals. It's awesome to focus on what you want to do but come on people, lighten up a little. I'm not saying you should be laughing in the middle of a set or make funny grunting faces but also the best things in life are what makes us human beings. Training is a real stress reliever if you know how to use it well and just like laughter it releases endorphins that gives you a high that is just incredible to have. Having a sense of humor in practically everything you do is what brings joy to your life and being stressed just sucks.

There are people out there who have a wicked sense of humor, myself included and when it comes to imagination it can be rather twisted but hey it's not hurting anyone and we do our best to not offend anyone (at least not intentionally or directly). If you want to get the best out of life you've got to have a pretty good imagination, thinking of things outside the box, seeing a bigger picture than anyone else and bringing it out in your own unique way. Sometimes bringing it out can be quite funny and although most won't get it, you will because that's who you are. There are great people who've had great success but have no imagination and no sense of humor so the balance is off and you won't always be real unless there's a balance. Some of the training I do looks quite ridiculous to those who don't understand it; I mean who the hell wants to be crawling, jumping, moving like a chimp and pounding his chest like a gorilla as he works out (apparently some people) and you know what, I'm getting something out of it and they're not because I'm not the weird guy, they are the uptight people who don't know how to loosen up. You see some people just don't have that fire to be imaginative and intuitive take for example; one day me and a family member were driving up to Lake Tahoe and had to stop for gas, we pull over and as he gets the nozzle going, I'm out and stretching next to the car doing some sumo squats and working my hamstrings a little because let's face it sitting in a car too long just makes you stiff as a board at times and he tells me flat out to not stretch and stop what I'm doing because apparently people will stare and make fun of me. I think it was his way of saying "don't embarrass me and what you're doing is funny looking and weird." See no humor at all and seriously, I needed to stretch otherwise I wouldn't be able to move too well when we got there and help carry other people's shit in.

When you train, there's got to some laughs thrown in every now and then, not to poke fun at anybody but just bring some light into things at times and if you have friends to train with, that just makes it even better. When things are lit up around you and you're having a great time not just training but having that positive and fiery energy surrounding you, everything just seems right and you're getting more out of it than you ever expected. I've trained with some of the funniest guys around but also have trained with people who have a stick up their ass, have that depressed energy about them and just plain dull. If I had to pick the top 4 guys I've trained with that just light up the training like a florescent light bulb would be Logan Christopher, Tyler Bramlett, Bud Jeffries and Garin Bader. The latter I only got to train with once but even one time it was an experience I can never let go of even if I wanted to because it was bizarre at times but in a good way. Having some laughs is part of the process and knowing that the best things in life are when you're with incredible people.

A smile is more than just a face, it's a powerful entity that many never experience especially when you're training. To smile even in the toughest workout sessions is a sight to behold. You get so caught up in your training at times you forget to just smile and realize that no matter how things are in your life, it's these moments that give you the greatest impacts. Sure you can be sore, worn out, tired and even a little slow after a while but in the end, when you smile and do so with enthusiasm and not faking it, you just made one of those rare things happen. Get in the habit of smiling before, during and after your workouts and you'll see where things go for you.

Have a great weekend everyone. Be awesome and laugh it up.

Hit The Deck

Most would look at this and think they need to duck for something or move to get out of dodge but not for today my friends. I have written about Card Training before but it's a favorite of mine so I'll write it again. The irony is with full on hardcore card training you might want to hit the deck for dear life because this type of training will not be welcoming with open arms. It takes mental toughness to another realm and for the most part it can lead to superhuman levels of conditioning and growth hormone jumps. This type of training alone can jumpstart your cardio, High Intensity Training and you can not only get stronger and have more endurance but you can also lose unwanted fat, build muscle and lose weight at the same time.

If you're the type of person who doesn't want to sweat during a workout this isn't for you. You will sweat, you'll be breathing hard and you'll need plenty of water because as you go through the cards, it gets tougher one at a time (or easier if you're some sadistic conditioning freak). People in sports have used this type of training for their chosen athletic endeavor and for good reason, it works. You don't need to do this type of training every day and you won't be doing a full deck the first time out unless you're in serious shape. I have done workouts with the cards that lasted from 20 min. to a little over an hour and always feel hungry and thirsty towards the end. It takes a lot out of you but also it gives you that endorphin rush that very few workouts can. I sweated like crazy last night going through the deck hitting my 15 lb. thor hammer on the tire going through one card after the other with very little rest (rest was changing the card and moving the tire from to time) and my total reps came out to 1252. My deck has 3 jokers instead of the normal two and would do 100 reps each joker.

The type of Deck I use is fairly simple added in 3 jokers this is how I make the reps….When I do the Thor Hammer Training on the tire I do the reps of each hand switch of the left and right hand on top of the handle so for example:

2-10 (4 to 20)

Kings/Jacks/Queens-15 (30)

Aces-20 (40)

Jokers- 50(100)

So after hitting the amount using left over right, I switch to right over left for the same amount so it's doubled.

There many ways you can work the deck and this is where you have the freedom to be creative. You can do one exercise or a series of them to your liking. Sometimes I'd like to test out hindu push-ups and hindu squats and this takes me a little longer but it's interesting. You can do a series of 4 exercises and pick whatever ones you want like pull-ups, burpees, push-ups, squats, cable work, hammers, animal exercises, weights, lifting heavy objects you get the picture. The big thing is that you must do with this type of training is to have fun even though it does get tough at times and as one friend would tell me, it never gets easier but I say it gets more interesting because it's never the same workout twice so you not only get variety but you can change things up if you want to, rest when needed and as you get better take less rest periods. This takes cardio to a whole other level and it will jack up your heart rate quicker than almost anything else. It's a challenge that has taken down even the most elite athletes. As you progress depending the exercises you do, you can double or triple the numbers on the cards. One unique way is to not do reps at all but do Isometric postures of your favorite exercises and if you're crazy enough don't count the seconds, count the breaths and you'll hold longer, if you want to see stars in an awesome way this is it.

Many athletes have used this type of training particularly those in Combat sports like Football, Wrestling and MMA. Karl Gotch was one of the elite conditioned athletes in the world and he used to test this type of training not just on himself but fellow students of his just to torture them. This guy always had gas in the tank and part of it was because of this type of training. Ray Lewis a former Linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens and Super Bowl champ did this type of training as a kid doing push-ups and sit-ups. 16-time world champion Ric Flair was nicknamed the 60-minute man because of his grueling 1 hour nightly matches that he did on a frequent basis at the height of his career and one of the reasons for having that level of conditioning was doing this type of training. You may not always get to a gym when you'd like if you're traveling on the road or you're just not into the gym scene but want a hell of a workout in the process. It's not time consuming, you can do it in the morning before you head out for the day or do it in the evening before dinner and trust me from my experience, you'll want something because you need to fuel your body. You don't even need an equipment and it's a perfect traveling companion. Think outside the box, work up a sweat and have fun doing it. It's not easy and it isn't for the typical couch potato but if you want to get into some serious shape that will give you an athletic look and have the strength and stamina to go along with it, this will work well for you.

Happy Thor's Day everyone, be awesome and show some love for one another, encourage each other and set your goals.

The Bundle Of A Lifetime

Usually with a package deal, you get really cool stuff really cheap and other times (more often than not) some of those package deals are pretty lame and they rip you off somehow but very few have a lot to offer especially this one. When you get the Combat Bundle, you're getting one of the greatest deals today and for only a few more days than it's gone. Picture what it would be like to have over 70 of the best people teaching you how to get fit and powerful and even teach you Martial Arts/Self Defense in the process at the same time give you valuable info on nutrition that'll jack you up naturally without the need of drugs or stupid supplementation.

There's not just instruction on how to fight and defend yourself but you also get the luxury of learning the very secrets on how a fighter gets extraordinarily fit and do so in the least amount of time and using the conditioning programs to give you that competitive edge against your opponent. Fighters need to be in shape almost more than any other athlete because they could have a fight tomorrow or a couple months from now and need that focus and endurance to get through the fight as quickly as possible. The strength needed against an opponent can only last so long until it starts to wear thin and you need that endurance if a fight goes on longer than you want it to be. With the Combat Bundle, you will learn how to conserve your energy for later moments in a fight and what to expect with the unexpected.

When it comes to training, you want to finish strong and not wanting to die. This deal comes with ideas on how to use finishers in a training session. Finishers are what separates from having a good workout to having a bad ass workout where you can do exercises that maximize your hormone levels and having to do them at a level where you won't get injured and you get to learn about exercises you haven't thought of as finishers. Some just want to train hard and get out, others however, want to start out strong and end just as strong and that's where the finishers come in. You'll be getting the best out of your workouts with these bad ass finishers.

There are secrets to everything and those who want to learn them are willing to step up their game and reach new levels of fitness that will have you becoming stronger, fitter, more flexible and have greater endurance so whether you're a fighter or just want to get in shape these 70+ experts will show you the way and you'll be amazed at what you'll be able to accomplish, just learning from a few of these guys is worth more than the entire package deal so to get over 70 is practically a gold mine. Take your time to learn from them and be patient, set your goals and find what works best for you.

Get the Combat Bundle today because it won't last too long and you may never see a deal like this again. Check it NOW!! Be awesome everyone and get cracking.

The Greatest Form Of Meditation

There are so many ideals and perspective outlooks on what meditation is. In simple terms, meditation means the way to feel blissful and understanding the relaxation of the body and mind. Many people believe sitting and shutting down the mind while chanting certain sounds is the ideal form of meditation. Others feel that standing or holding a certain posture while quieting the mind and relaxing the body is a powerful way and even better form of meditation. Want to know something, I agree with both forms. Depending on how you look at it, no matter what the research or what you learn what's the best form, the greatest form of meditation is what keeps you in a blissful state in mind and body and it works for you and it could be sitting, standing, lying down or moving in certain patterns or basic adaptive movements.

For nearly 10 years of studying and experimenting different exercise programs, spiritual enlightenment, meditation, specific postures, qi gong, Movnat and others; I have found that moving is more meditative for me than standing or sitting. I do both from time to time because I find it's a good balance. It's building great intuitive power. What works best may not always work in everyone's favor and what I mean by that is we're all different and the way we think and move isn't the same so we use what makes us feel right to do. I believe in the power of intuition, it's a very powerful thing like having that little voice that guides you or that gut feeling you have when something doesn't feel right or does; that's your intuition talking to you. It's the feeling and what is spoken only to you that gives you what you're aware of and having that 6th sense type of thing. So in order to find what works best for you, listen and feel to what's right and experiment, if it doesn't feel right or makes sense to you than move on till you find just the right thing on the dot. It's like the three bears complex where you feel, see and taste what could be right, something may be too hot or too cold (the porridge) but then you find what is just right and hits you and it works. Follow your intuition.

In a nutshell, the best form of meditation is not what worked for everyone else or who says this or that about what form is great and that you should do it; it is what brings you that energy within mind and body and you feel happy, relaxed and powerful all at the same time. The world is at a time still and you are taking in that powerful essence of radiant energy and you feel incredible. For me it's moving and at times I either move slow or really fast whether it's exercise or walking, for some they're better meditating in a certain place where they can sit comfortably and shut the world out for a while that's ok too. Don't stress what is the best trend or don't let yourself go crazy with something that isn't working, meditation is supposed to reduce stress and infuse you mind to open a clear window so do speak.

Experimentation is a great asset to find the right thing(s) that give you your greatest benefit and it could be anything, it doesn't even have to be a spiritual thing. Another form of meditation to do at least to me is writing. If you love to write and you can intuitively get the words without thinking about it too much that's like being in a meditative state, it brings you peace and clarity that's the true power of meditation; to be at peace and feel clear of negative stress and energy. Whatever drives you and you feel peaceful and at ease within yourself, you're meditating.

Find your sense of peace and exercise your intuition to find what works best for you in your own unique way. There's no feeling like it. Be awesome family and welcome to a new week.

A Superhero With An Arrow

One show I've got into lately was the CW superhero TV series Arrow. It's been one of the best shows I've seen in a while and because of the rise of Superhero films the last few years, it's only fitting to put them on TV as well. This was on Netflix so I really had a chance to get into it, no commercials so I loved learning about the characters and the stories that unfolded. If you haven't read or heard of the Green Arrow, it's about a rich kid who becomes an Archer much like Robin Hood but with a twist. One thing hit me with this show is not just the action, the drama or him shooting these kick ass arrows but the training scenes; they're very unique in the way where you never see this type of training on practically any TV show, we're talking Ninja Warrior type stuff, Handstand Push-ups, Win Chun, Combat Training it's very unusual but awesome.

The training scenes bring a different element to a show where it's not like a Rocky montage but what a hero literally does in his time while going after the bad guys. Normally you'd see anything close in a cartoon which exaggerates everything but in a full on TV show with real people it's practically realistic maybe not completely but it's there in some form. A lot of what this guy does on the show is mainly bodyweight and handles his strength in a very unique way. The way he was taught to train his hands before he even pulled a bow was similar to what shaolin monks would use in their training. Archery is a very old school skill set that dates back to the Remote Past where guns didn't exist and the Bow & Arrow was the number 1 weapon of its time, forget swords and spiked maces, the arrow was a weapon for elite fighters of war. To even train for the strongest bow takes years of not just practice but also pure hardcore strength that needed exact progression otherwise in battle if you missed too many times you would be kicked out. You had to learn how to handle a target from practically every angle, not just straight into a bulls eye like in a contest, you needed precision and accuracy from as many targets as possible. Some of the strongest men of the time couldn't pull back a heavy bow, those that could, had powerful tendons, super strong shoulders and an incredible pull back that envied many men.

The way to sum up Green Arrow is if Robin Hood had Batman's money and unique tools. Although in the cartoons those two are part of the Justice League only one of them has actually killed. Batman is one of the top superheroes of all-time period but he also doesn't have the warrior's side to kill if needed and that part of him can be argued, however with Arrow; he's got some legit reasons in the show and comics and like the story of Robin Hood, steal from the rich and give to the poor. Each person that he has taken a life from has a purpose to it and although I don't condone superheroes killing, I could understand the need to.

I love some of the training Stephen Amell does on the show and although he did a completely different type of training for the role, the fact of the matter is, he's not this overly muscle bound looking bodybuilder, he looks like a real athlete that can do some pretty gnarly stuff. He looks like what a superhero should be, athletic, strong, agile and flexible. It's an inspiration to see a realistic physique and not something grotesque like Ronnie Coleman. I'm not surprised if there were things he used to help build his body and I don't care, fact is he's got something awesome to use and I much prefer a physique like that with the strength and athleticism to back it up. Check out the show on Netflix if you haven't yet or get the first 2 seasons on DVD. It's worth a watch.

Happy Halloween everyone, have a blast, dress up with your most kick ass costumes and get some great candy for the night, watch a horror flick. Be awesome

The Excitement Of Training

Most don't look at training or working out as a sign of excitement especially from an internal stand point because you're sweating, moving from place to place in the gym and doing some weird ass aerobics class (you see those new kangaroo jumpers they use). Now this doesn't just happen in the gym, it happens at home, while you're out swimming, at a park practically anywhere and one of the reasons most don't excited is because they don't explore themselves internally; using their imagination to create a workout or routine that fires every muscle in the body, picturing something happening while holding a stance or posture. You can go through the motions and still get some kind of result but it won't be the result you want, why not explore your imagination to make the workout interesting. Create scenarios, do pull-ups and each time you come down, picture as if a fire is trying to burn you alive. When you do squats, picture as if something was coming at you and you have to duck to avoid it. When you lift weights like a bench press, picture as if it wasn't a barbell with plates on it but I really heavy beam and in order to live you have you have to push that beam off of you. Now some of these don't need to be that drastic but you get my drift.

There are certain exercises that are just so tedious boring (in my Thaddeus voice from Your Highness) that it's hard to believe that some of these things were created to get results. Seriously if you're going to take an exercise that could be effective but it's so dull, why not add a little zest to it. You can practically turn any exercise into a mighty training tool yes even some of those machines but I prefer old school lifting and bodyweight style training but anyway, if you can make a simple exercise fun and enjoyable, you're no longer working out, you're creating mighty training tools to get the results you want. You have a brain, so why not use it to your advantage and turn it into an awesome exercise that looks the same to everyone but you. You have the right to feel excited when you train, it should never be a punishment but a rewarding experience that could change the very landscape of what you have been taught. The way certain people teach is a bit cold-hearted and try to be all hardcore and act like a want be badass (have you seen those exercises some of those trainers teach, holy shit they're god awful) but that's not a reflection on you, it's on them and you deserve to get awesome results and have the time of your life, trainers are supposed to help you train so one day you won't need them anymore but yet they'll reel you in just so they can take more money from you but the real deal gives you the tools you need so you can be successful on your own.

It sometimes can be a drastic change, at times it's easy to change but overall going from dull and boring to adventure is one hell of an experience and you have an opportunity to make it happen. I've seen people come and go from the gym and around certain areas like a park or field and you can just sense the fire that's inside them but others just go through the motions acting like there's no care around them and to me that's just sad. Ever felt that excitement as a kid when you played tag or being in the sand, opening your mind like it was the easiest thing in the world, what happened to you bro/girl? Oh yeah that's right you grew up and felt that opening your mind to an adventure was just a child's thing and you overanalyze everything. Stop and smell the roses everyone, there's a whole world you can create and it's all in your mind and you have a power in you that is just bursting to come out. Be adventurous, have a blast with what you do, laugh and when you train, have a little fun with it, be creative and let the inner kid in you out to play because this world is messed up as it is and the few of us that choose to live with happiness and lightful in a dark world find it different in our minds and we utilize it to help make the world a better place.

There's potential in all of us and there's always going to be something we're terrible at but on the other side of the coin we are incredible at something and when we find it, it makes us whole and we do the best we can to ascend that ladder of success using what we're best at. Some don't know what they're good at yet but it's there and you have the power to find it. When you do, hold onto it and never let go. Use your potential to reach new heights and be successful at it. It doesn't matter if you want to get strong, do cool stunts, create a business, write a book, train others no all that matters is you find what you're best at and if it makes you happy, run with it and never look back because you have the potential to change the world just by doing what you're best at and you progress within your own style because nobody can force you to make your potential run any faster, we run at our own speed and we grow the way it is meant for us as an individual.

Happy Thor's Day everyone and have an awesome day. It is the night before Halloween so get your costumes ready, do what you need to do and have a blast the next night.

The Nature Of Movement

In the last 30 years or more, we have devolved in terms of how we use movement as a practice for everyday life. Back when I was a kid in the early 90's we ran around the yard chasing each other, crawling, jumping, playing tag and being free. We swam when we went to the pool, we jumped off docks at the lake, climbed a few rocks to get to a place where when it was windy the water would splash up on us. Indoors there was a lot of crawling, squatting to play with the toys and (I was older when me and my friends did this) played silly sports games that were just intense and had to use every muscle in our bodies in a very tiny space. You can't do that from being on a treadmill or a machine, it's flat out impossible in my book. The few however that have continued to grow have taught people how to move with efficiency and using the muscles and tendons/ligaments in a natural manner although structured to learn but teach how to use our instincts.

Some say we are descendants from Adam & Eve, others believe we came from hunter/gatherers of those who lived in Caves and apparently there those who believe that we just miraculously evolved out of nowhere to learn the understanding of Agriculture, Farming, Supply Shipping and whatever else that created this Civilization of the Remote Past. I'm not religious whatsoever but I'm not going to bring down someone's beliefs so they can think what they want. Quite frankly you can have your research and stating what is factual or what's myth and what you can gather from bones and artifacts the truth of the matter is no matter how you look at things it all comes down to one word: Survival. In the remote past it wasn't always having civilization and crops to grow to have food and the only water you had was in a river/lake. People needed to eat, drink and keep warm so they had to come up with a way to keep going and sometimes on a daily basis fight to get the best out of the things needed for a tribe or single person. These were the first geniuses of our ancient world because if they hadn't come up with a way to survive, they'd be dead period. Our ancestors needed to do a ton of things in order to survive for instance; crawl under low places, jump from one spot to another to avoid whatever, swim to catch fish or save a life of a tribesmen, run as fast as they can muster to avoid predators or chase after one and lift things to carry back to camp such as maybe firewood, rocks to cover up something or to use as a weapon. They relied on their instincts and had to move with such power and strength and they never were even taught it (not like today) so what we learn today is more structured to how our ancestors survived but it's got more of a twist.

As a human species we are practically the most adaptable on the planet. We can never be strong as a tiger or gorilla, fly like bird, run like a cheetah or fish like a bear, hell even have the stealth of a Crocodile but we can adapt to practically any environment using our bodies to crawl, jump, squat, shift from one side to the other, going backwards just as efficiently as moving forward and our brain capacity amplifies that of any animal. This is how we are supposed to move our bodies; did I forget to mention we also can lift heavy objects in our time of need and/or carry them. Our DNA has us using our Physiology and Structure to move in a state of instinct and whether we are taught this or that it will come down to our instincts and not only the fight or flight mechanism but our brain can send energy to our system that has thrown that form of adrenaline within us. It is our nature to move and we as a species have lost touch on how to make our movements not just more natural but useful and utilizing our potential for real world strength and stamina.

Like I said before we have the ability to adapt more than any other type of animal. We can cover areas from quite a distance, have incredible strength, run for miles on end and our ability to adapt when we need to sprint like hell for whatever reason and our awareness is very vast and cunning. We are wasting our potential by sitting on our asses and looking at violence and sex and many other things on a daily basis and it's become a horror basically. Move around your house, go outside and play around, jump on one leg, crawl under a long part of a tree, run on a track, lift rocks/logs or anything that is heavy that you can handle, go swimming in the lake or the ocean, Squat to pick something up or sit in that position to play or whatever. The point is to use what nature was intended for you, I don't care if you believe in god or whatever but nature is nature and you are part of it, use it to your potential and it doesn't matter where you live, learn to adapt.

Have a great Tuesday everyone, be awesome and get up and move.
