Today, we are going to talk about two of these herbs briefly.
Mucuna
Mucuna is one of the best herbs for helping balance dopamine levels. Because of this, it has some definite mental effects, though some of it's positive mental results stem from other brain activity.
One study concluded that, "...These results suggest that the neuroprotective and neurorestorative effect of Mucuna pruriens may be related to its antioxidant activity independent of the symptomatic effect." This study has found that mucuna was able to chelate iron, effectively allowing the body to detox the body of too much iron in system (1).
Bree (from way back in 2014), found out that Mucuna had a great effect on her mental prowess.
With these herbs, I feel better overall. Physically, these herbs give me more energy and stamina, but in a way caffeine can’t provide. There is no jittery feeling, no elevated heart rate, and no crash afterward. Mentally, there is much more focus and clarity in simple tasks and my memory during more complicated and multi-tasking events was much better. Emotionally, I feel lifted. I see things from a more positive lense and am able to handle stressful events with a much calmer demeanor. The best way I can put it is I overall feel as if I’ve had the best night’s rest of my life. I feel very refreshed, balanced, and well.
On top of the mental effects, Mucuna has been found to be great for hormonal support as well, working through the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis in both men and women (2).
Gotu Kola
Both Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda have ‘tonifying’ herbs, that is, herbs that have a tonic effect on particular organs. The term ‘tonic’ implies a herb or formula that uses a multifaceted approach to making an organ healthier and work better, toning the organ much as working out will tone muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Most tend to be the organs in our torso so it is rare indeed to have a herb that works to produce a well-rounded, higher functioning brain.
Gotu Kola has had much scientific work undertaken to show how it improves the mind. A study done with it isolated 45 unique compounds from the plant and found, "The most effective fraction (of compounds) showed robust induction in neurite outgrowth and neurofilament expression."
They found that two of the more active compounds in this regard were those named asiatic and madecassic acids.
Their, "...results support the use of a combination of asiatic acid and madecassic acid as an effective means to intervene neurodegenerative diseases in which neurotrophin deficiency is involved (3)."
Neurotrophins are a family of proteins that induce the survival, development, and function of neurons. They belong to a class of growth factors, secreted proteins that are capable of signaling particular cells to survive, differentiate or grow.
Gotu Kola will literally revitalize your brain if it has suffered from a lack of care. I recommend taking a bag of this one at least on a semi-regular basis to help the brain age gracefully (or not at all...). Combining Gotu Kola with the learning of new skills will keep your mind sharp well into your 90's and beyond.
Guaranteed.
Just kidding, I'm not gonna guarantee that one! If it doesn't work out that you make it to 90 and are still forgetful, you won't remember to ask for your money back anyway. Scandalous I know. ;)

Isometrics As A Healing Method
Although it is not specifically intended to cure, Isometrics can in fact heal the body in amazing ways. By healing, it can lower blood pressure due to a specific breathing method and help heal areas of the body that have been plagued by years of pain. I'm not a doctor and I don't intend to drive people away from having their bodies being healed by other means however; you do have other options.
I have been battling with back issues still and i'm not 100% of what my strength & athletic ability normally would be but in a very slow process, I Am getting stronger again in that area of my body. The pain has gone down although it has shifted to my right side but because of Isometrics, I'm getting closer and closer to being completely healed. I do both methods of practice Free-Handed & using the Isometric Power Belt. Because of the issues in my back I have to adjust certain exercises in order to be efficient and not have those spaz moments for example I can do do Deadlift Isometrics & Upright Rows with the belt and can do the Superman Hold Free-Handed but I have major issues with the Back Isometric versions of picking up the leg where you grip the hamstring and do your hardest to pick up the leg, I really feel it in my lower back and feels horrible. You make due with what you can and as you get stronger, start adding in certain other exercises.
I have used Isometrics in the past to heal my legs and even helped my shoulders after hurting them doing too much of the deck of cards workout of Squats & Push-ups. I got a little carried away and hurt myself but I wasn't going to let that stop me from training. I'm also getting ideas in my head where because of my back and not being able to do the animal exercises the way I really want to, think it is time to do those exercises in Isometric Fashion instead of being so explosive normally. Using other methods for movement & mobility such as DDP Yoga or MovNat, Isometrics are the best thing for me to really do at the moment until I heal or VRT Type method.
As we get older, we do have to adjust our training. Don't get me wrong, I plan on doing some crazy stuff still by the time i'm 40 and beyond and have seen first hand the crazy things guys in their 50's can do. It is important however to balance out the crazy stuff with keeping yourself healthy and pain-free as possible. Isometrics are one of the safest if not the safest form of strength training when it is properly applied; you're not damaging the joints, you're developing your structure with powerful exercises that can be done at practically any angle and it is one of the fastest methods to burn fat and build sculpted muscle. I never want to stop training and if it means using other methods to be as injury-proof as possible more than ever, so be it. You never stop learning and you never stop finding the best ways to keep yourself in shape beyond your years. Too many people just flat out stop training because they can't do what they use to or they don't have what it takes anymore, there's always something you can do.
Learn the power of Isometrics and make it a part of your life, it could very well save it and give you strength other methods can't even reach. Keep your joints safe and value the power of self-healing.

Taking On Energy To Gain The Greatest Strength And Harnessing Its Power
When you practice certain methods, you take on different sides of yourself and learn the energy you feel as you go through that practice. With the ideals of CoreForce Energy, you will enhance your natural strength & power by utilizing certain breathing techniques, imagination and movements that not only make you move more organically but develop a greater sense of body language that is unique and gives your personality another realm of confidence and self-mastery.
I have recently gotten back into practicing CoreForce to help my back and get my strength back to the level that made me who I Am. Currently I've been implementing what are called Zeus Spheres where you project powerful energy around you in your imagination to create great strength and organic movement to enhance your performance. It sounds mystical and a little goofy to think about but I assure you on my grandfather's ashes in a Washington pond it is NOT hokey whatsoever. As you learn to use this technique, it could literally change your entire physicality and mindset on being as strong and flowing as possible and you will have a new sense of power both inside and out.
It is by far the most unique way to strength train and it'll help you develop a mindset to any exercise you want to master. I should mention it's not going to turn you into Superman and lift 1000 lbs. off the bat but you will move better, think more clearly, develop greater posture and increase your strength by as much as 2-3% or more. Even if you could have strength 1% higher would you want to find out how you can do that? Any athlete, average joe or weekend warrior would kill to have that.
It is worth EVERY single penny and more to have this method in your arsenal. I have been personally taught by the man who created it himself Garin Bader and I was stronger in one session than during any other workout at that time and off and on I always went back to it to make myself stronger and faster for anything that suited me or was in need of me. Garin is one of the most intelligent guys on the planet and will show you in the most simple terms how to apply this method in any area of your life. It has changed my outlook on strength since I first started on it and it broke through the toughest glass of my mind when I met him. You will not regret it.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE

Why Breathing Is Crucial To Doing Isometrics
You go to the gym and you learn specific exercises for specific areas of the body right? Now you also learn the breathing patterns of those exercises. The truth is, you learn to breathe for a reason but not every single exercise has a full on corrective way to breathe because once you start going heavier or faster during an exercise it doesn't matter, you're going to breathe differently. To me, you learn the correct way to breathe by utilizing intuitive matters of naturally breathing. Take the push-up for example; breathing is simple, you inhale going down, exhaling up right? That's one way to breathe, now go a little slower, are you going to breathe in and out the same way? No unless you can hold your breath like a freaking swimmer then maybe.
When it comes to Isometrics, there are specific breathing patterns and timing those patterns in order to prevent injury; this is very different than if you were to move using weights or bodyweight exercise. Your breathing through isometric exercise can determined a cause of injury or worse. The biggest lie about Isometric Breathing is being told to hold the breath because who does that the most? Bodybuilders. They squeeze every muscle on stage and so damn hard it looks like something is going to burst and more often than not, something has. Holding the breath while flexing a muscle can be seriously dangerous to your health and well being. Say you squeeze a gripper really hard and you hold your breath as you do so; a few things can seriously injure you such as breaking a rib, a busted abdomen, high blood pressure, snapped tendon, torn muscles and many other things. So how do you breathe during Isometric holds?
When I rediscovered isometrics in my early 20's, I was taught to breathe using what's called the "SSS" sound, now why do that? In simple terms, this breathing technique can relieve high blood pressure, create more stable contractions so you don't get injured and it creates a better surge of strength. When you're holding the breath as you flex as hard as hard as possible you're actually decreasing strength in a way in the functional sense because when this happens, your organs have to do far more work to help pump blood and infuse the muscle fibers than they're use to. With exhale breathing using this specific technique you're generating greater strength and infusing the muscles and tendons without overworking the organs to compensate. I don't know the exact science behind this and it's never truly proven but I do have experiences and the correct breathing can save your life.
Appropriate applied Isometric contractions with the breathing technique can help decrease fat by a large margin, not injure muscles or tendons but actually strengthen them, develop a leaner physique and not heavy bulk plus you're saving a shit ton of time on training. Isometrics are a phenomenal addition to your training regimen as they strengthen weak points, develop muscle control so when you do something strenuous, you can contract muscles needed on command and it aids in endurance. Be safe and don't get brain damage or pop a ligament from improper breathing.

Wakes You Up Energized After Sleeping Like a Log (Albizia is BACK in Stock!)
Are you struggling with sleep?
When you're not getting the right kind of sleep it messes you up.
Just one bad night's sleep can stress you out, make you cranky and stir up a conflict that could have totally been avoidable.
What's worse is that when your sleep is bad on the regular, it begins to have grave negative effects on your health.
Chronic sleep disorders like insomnia lead to:
· Messing with your hormones (low T, anyone?)
· Mood disorders ("blowing up" and getting mad for no good reason)
· Depression
· Anxiousness
· Stress (which is a huge cause of heart disease)
· And much much more
If you're like many Americans with a sleeping disorder then you might have tried drugs to pass out.
You may have even taken more extreme measures like drinking yourself to sleep. I have heard of too many people who have done that.
Well, today I want to tell you about an herb that can help with all of this.
This herb helps calm your mind, so you can fall into a DEEP sleep.
What's key about this is that when you get DEEP sleep, you can wake up ENERGIZED. It rebalances your mind so you can think clearly... and get ready to TACKLE your day.
What's this herb? Albizia.

Albizia is like the opposite of caffeine. Caffeine blocks the receptors that make you relax so that you can GO and feel energized.
Instead, Albizia BLOCKS the receptors in your brain that make you stressed... giving you a calming effect so you can let go, relax and finally fall asleep!
My favorite part is that the effects are almost immediate. When I took it, within hours I felt my body relax. And my employees who got samples noticed a very similar effect.
This herb is so popular that the original release sold it out on the 1st day!!!
Now it is back and ready for the people who had missed it the 1st time.
Until Monday evening you can pick some up HERE for only $15.99 (regular price of $19.99).
If you want to upgrade your sleep, Albizia is the herb for you.
Rooting for your sleep.

Free Hand Isometrics To Burn Fat And Build Natural Muscle Density
Although it isn't new, Isometrics has had a long and rich history for being a top of the food chain method for developing muscle and burning fat really fast. Often times however, it can get a bad rap especially by those who never truly practiced it or only read of the negative side of them. It isn't a end-all-be-all method by any stretch but it is an essential element to devour unwanted fat and develop dense muscle that can go a long way in terms of not only physical strength but sculpted muscle as well.
To sum it up, Isometrics means you're holding a position without movement yet activating muscle fibers through hard muscular flexing; this can mean muscle control, pushing/pulling against an immovable object, resisting muscle against muscle and other sorts. There are literally dozens of ways to use isometrics but my two favorites are free-handed (pitting muscle against muscle) & using the Isometric Power Belt. The Free-Handed method is the topic of today's article.
Using nothing but your own resistance is a sure fire of owning the mind/muscle connection and learning to harness strength in just about any position possible. In the book Isometric Power Revolution, it teaches what are called CIC's (Classic Isometric Contraction) where you resist a muscle against another in a variety of positions (1-3 per muscle group) and you contract that particular muscle (Biceps, Chest, Legs ect.) as hard as possible for 7-10 seconds then rest for a period and do another contraction in a different position and so on and so forth. Practicing this method works very well and for good reason. This is the purest method of exercise where isolating a muscle is very effective and doesn't wear and tear on joints & ligaments.
When you squeeze and relax the muscles through this method, you're creating fresh oxygenated blood into your body that hits the fast-twitch muscle fibers to generate greater density in the muscles. It isn't bodybuilding where you make the muscle as big as possible through an exercise, it is where you develop a hardness in the muscles where they can become denser meaning tougher and naturally muscular. You can create any type of isometric workout with this method anytime and anywhere and it doesn't take more than 20 min to get the job done.
The ideal of isometrics is doing that "last rep 1st", by tensing very hard for only a few seconds. If you want you can even simmer down the intensity and hold/flex a muscle at a lower percentage of strength for 30 seconds or longer. This is called Aerobic Isometrics where you hit positions at lower intensity for longer periods of time, say you did a wall sit for 7 seconds at 70-80% of your strength, now do the same wall sit for about 30-50% and hold for a minute; same exercise but different levels of contraction. A method of this caliber is great for those in sports such as wrestling, baseball, hockey and football where you hold positions to create strength in that area for your sport. Think about it, the strength you can have by pressing or pulling back your throwing arm in various positions where you can throw faster and have greater range, for wrestling your strength in pinning positions or throwing your opponent will skyrocket when you position yourself and do isometric contractions. Dan Gable did Isometrics throughout his career and look at the statistics, you'll be amazed.
When you do isometrics and you put in great effort of the contractions, its killing the unwanted fat by turning it into energy and getting powerful blood into the bloodstream to create heavier muscle to obliterate that fat. It sounds confusing I know trust me but the amount of fat that is burned is insane when you do this kind of training and the type of positions you put yourselves in hits muscles you didn't even know can be felt and when you have fat around a certain area, you can transition that mighty muscle and melt fat like butter on a hot plate. Isometrics alone however are NOT the answer to a complete program, they're an addition to a regular routine or can be done on off days to help you stay active. You do't even need to do them all at once, do a few throughout the day and think of the calories you're burning when you're doing isometrics in that day. You can do them at the grocery store, at a stop light, on a bench at the park, in your hotel room, on an airplane, even at Disneyland as you wait in line for a ride.
There is no excuse for not finding time to exercise, you have all you need in your own body, the rest is up to you for what equipment you use. Make time; before work, before bed, during your break or a few minutes after you get home; make it WORK FOR YOU!!! Do Isometrics, it works wonders beyond imagination.
