3 Days Straight Of The Matt Furey Exercise Bible

On Monday, I had an urge to do Matt Furey's Exercise Bible which is a deck of cards consisting of Hindu Push-ups, Hindu Squats, V-Ups & Tablemakers. It's been a long time since I completely went through the deck and the last few attempts recently I stopped because it got boring. Apparently I had a bug up my ass and felt the need to actually finish it this time. I changed the repetitions around so I'll be able to do it without feeling boredom.

2-10 Were Face Value

Face Cards Were (K=13, Q=12 & J=11)

Aces Were 14

Jokers Are 25-50

The first day, it was rough and had to adjust the V-Ups in certain variations just so I don't hurt myself. I made it through but because I haven't done these exercises together in quite some time, I felt out of shape. If I needed rest, I would do slight stretching or use my Ropeless Jump Rope to keep myself going cause if I rested like most people would, I wouldn't have the strength to continue. The second day felt slightly easier and hardly did other variations of the V-Ups and rested slightly less as went through the deck. Today however was the toughest because I do feel quite sore and I wasn't sure of myself if I was going to pull through. I wanted to die around the middle of the deck but something told me to keep going and that I got this. To say it was a rude awakening would be an understatement but felt so rewarding when it was over.

I have beaten the deck on a number of occasions with various exercises such as 500 Hindu Squats with one deck, 200 Ab Wheel Rollouts & 500 Step Ups with another, over 1000 reps striking the tire with my sledgehammer and of course just Hindu Push-ups & Hindu Squats. Doing 4 exercises with a deck can be a completely different animal and because the exercises come up at random, you never know what will show up. I had reduced some numbers for the exercises because its been some time since I pushed that hard with those exercises in particular together. It was an experience that's for sure and I will one day get back to where I was doing numbers that Furey provided for the cards consistently.

As you may or may not know, deck of card workouts are no joke and it has been said that if you're supreme condition, you would speed up through a deck in a certain amount of time. My times on the cards throughout the years varied from 18 minutes to just over 45 min. and I've done different workouts where I varied in speed and tempo. My objective regardless of the workout is not to always rely on speed because if all you do is trying to go fast, fast, fast, you could end up losing form and your breathing might get out of whack. I want to be able to journey through the workout, be aware of my breathing and be in control throughout the workout. I also want to let my body naturally speed up as I get stronger and better but I'm not looking to set world records.

One way to do this workout isn't to do reps at all but do Isometric Postures either for seconds or for breaths. I have done both and neither one will be a cake walk, matter of fact, you might love doing reps more than holding positions. Just an Isometric workout with these exercises will test your strength in ways you never knew existed. I was so damn high after one workout it felt like time stood still and my body was in the most beautiful blissful state. It is one of the best experiences of all time when it came to training. It brought a whole new meaning to the term Isometric Conditioning.

If you can't get a hold of this particular deck, you can create it with your own deck and here's how you determine the exercises.......

Diamonds= Hindu Push-ups

Hearts= Hindu Squats

Spades= V-Ups

Clubs= Tablemakers

How long will I continue to do this routine, no freaking clue. If I'm determined, I'll keep up with it, if I've had enough, take a little time off but it is a hell of a workout and it's awesome to do practically anywhere and anytime. Conditioning for the whole body and can be done in a variety of ways using different variations of the exercises. Have fun with it and if you are, try doing it twice in a row.

Hi Ben, another good post,I always enjoy reading them. For a big guy you certainly have a lot of endurance, don't think I could even attempt a deck of cards workout! As we have spoke about before those beta boys on that pathetic little forum carry on their demented obsession with John Peterson and occasionally your good self, I check out their little forum when I want a good laugh at a bunch of little, fat, old gossiping women. I think you are doing the right thing by ignoring them and not reading the forum, as you said,the only way they can get happiness in their miserable life is to try and make other people unhappy. Just use the knowledge that you are living in their heads 24/7 rent free to strengthen you.
I also think it is a good idea you left the Transformetrics forum, although the losers at that pathetic other forum are saying you will go back to it. Don't do it dude, be your own guy. John Peterson has a few good points but mostly he is his own worst enemy, the constant release dates then postponments of his isometric belt and courses and some of his less than believable stories make him look ridiculous. But he does have more money and success in business than those turds at that pathetic little forum, which obviously makes them jealous, even though they won't admit it. But in their latest posts they have been poking fun at John Peterson's wife and daughter, which to me is out of order ( another trait of beta boy bullys is picking on females).So I think to make things fair some facts should be told about a few of them, to see how they like being picked on.
So here we go -
the one who calls himself Big Bruv used to live in Spain with his wife, and I know a guy who was screwing her behind his back there.
The one who calls himself Macky believes his late wife is communicating with him in his head and through various " happenings" such as a bird flying past him😁 and he believes his practice of Tai Chi has made him psychic, and he can sense when people are watching him through closed curtains LOL!
The one called John rok is obviously a closet gay man who won't come to terms with his sexuality, and he takes selfies of his shirless body constantly.
So all in all that forum is basically a little club for misfits, and yet they have the chutzpah to call other people.
So don't worry big dude, stay strong and positive and keep training.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I do read that forum from time to time and it becomes more laughable than anything lately and it is sad they can't move on with life. For Bruv, I pity the poor bastard and you mentioned the infidelity before. For Macky, that is a little out there but not surprising. If JonRock is gay, who cares, why would that matter lol? Just because he takes selfies shirtless doesn't necessarily make him gay. They're warped I'll give them that but they are after all human beings who just can't go past their little forum and see life for the way it truly is. They view the world from negative shit that happened in their lives and I feel sorry for them that they choose to stay in that level of their lives. They have abilities to change but they apparently love living in that circle jerk of a bubble of theirs. Those guys need to be realistic and not live in some messed fantasy world where poking at people is the way to live.

I've nothing against gays dude, but those hypocrites are always poking fun at gay people and saying John Peterson is gay, but there's evidence to suggest a few of them on that site are 'fond of fellows!
Take care, keep training buddy.

I didn't think you were lol. Just stating something. Again they have warped minds and it does question why they make a lot of homophobic remarks.

Ben, does JeP have a daughter? It's not a big deal if he does, it's just I've never heard of him having a daughter before.

Thanks.

As far I know he does but he never mentioned it to me. Estranged and never truly talks about her, think it brings up a bad portion of his past and can't bring himself to be open to more ridicule. It's sad.

If the source for that information is the memory of the Aging Masturbatory Monkey forum than I'll wait for better sourcing. Thanks.

"Aging Masturbatory Monkey Forum"LOL!
Excellent name for those mentally Ill losers.Like all bully's they are fine when they are dishing out the hate and name calling, but not so brave when they get a taste of their own medicine, read my above post about the sad life that three of those turds lead. I mean if I lived in Spain with my wife (the one called Big Bruv)and every time I wasn't there, a guy was coming into my house and giving her a good screw ("nothing was off limits with her" the guy who was screwing her tells me) I may start questioning how "macho" I really was, so how macho are you Big Bruv? And let's not forget the one who calls himself Macky, this sad,fat, old idiot believes he can communicate with his late wife through wild birds, and his practice of Tai Chi enables him to see through walls and curtains! Somebody get them a straightjacket!😁
Ben puts his photos and videos up for interested fitness people to look at,but those losers at that forum never put up any proof of their fitness or physiques do they?
The funniest part is this - most normal people wake up and go about their day, but these weirdos wake up and spend all day obsessing about Ben and John Peterson. Ben and John should gain strength from the fact they are living 24/7 rent free in these sad losers demented minds.
