It's Party Time....P-A-R-T Why? Cause I Gotta

For you young kids out there, there was a movie that came out way, way, way back in 1994 called The Mask that helped launch Jim Carrey into the stratosphere of Comedy Films. One of my favorites as a kid and got even funnier as an adult. Now why would I would be talking about a movie when this is supposed to be about exercise? Here's the answer.

I came across a fun workout to do today to activate my muscles and wake up my body. The moment I saw the title of it, I immediately thought of the film because it's one of Jim Carrey's lines in the movie when he puts on the mask for the first time. Figured I'd give it a shot since it looked pretty damn easy. No rest and did all 7 sets it required for the Level. Now this is not meant as a regular workout or a replacement, it is for active recovery or as a warm-up or even as a finisher to your current workouts. It stretches and strengthens the muscles of the shoulders, core and knees.

Something quick to do to stay active and keeping up your energy. You can do this in the morning before work, after or before a workout at the gym, keeping muscles loose after a walk or swim in the pool/lake/ocean, you can do it anywhere. We want to keep our bodies limber and strong especially as we get older so why not do something fun to keep up the quality of life?

Little Known Benefit Of Animal Exercise (NSFW)

Animal Movements For Healthy Weight Loss And Fat Loss



Good morning everyone. Normally i'm not a morning person but my body decided to get up and move and not let me sleep, so I figured what the hell let's do something. Got in some DDP Yoga today for around 20+ minutes of stretching and strengthening.

Losing weight and losing unwanted fat can be a real chore and it is never easy to be consistent. Last year around this time, more like in April I was in still great shape but was heavier than usual; around 275 lbs. I had just moved into a new place with my fiance and learning how to handle the household chores and getting food and all that stuff, I decided to change a couple things and do more of the type of exercise I love which are animal moves.

After a change here and there and focusing a lot on Animals, my body began changing again and over the course of a year I had lost nearly 30 pounds going from 275 down to near 245. Although the change in my eating helped some, I personally feel it was the animal movements that made the biggest difference. The reason why is because unlike other methods (Other than burpees or sprinting) Animal Movements hit multiple muscles at the same time and it doesn't matter if you move fast or slow, the exercises force you to use every inch of your being and strengthens you everywhere.

For a while doing the Animal Dice Game, I was doing an average of 600-800 reps total a day of the movements. Some days I was doing more than 1500 and over the course of a day I did nearly 2000. When you put your body through that almost daily, you're bound to change and start shaping like an athlete sooner rather than later. They're also a powerful de-stresser because if you have anxiety or under pressure, full of stress, it can cause problems like unwanted weight gain, raising blood pressure and inflammation. When you start to de-stress, your body becomes calmer, more fluid, the muscles have a greater chance of recovery and your CNS functions at a more positive rate.

When you move multiple muscles in different directions at a higher rate, you're generating a greater metabolic stimulation which aids in digestion, burn calories faster and generate greater natural Growth Hormone. This helps with getting rid of fat and lose weight. Moving on all fours or jumping is a mighty task and when you move your arms as if they were legs, you're bound to find out what that does to your body. Doing these movements I have lost a great deal of weight which was never really my intent or even easy for me to begin with but it also changed not just how I feel, but how my body flowed and the strength I possessed. I began to move faster, have a greater sense of conditioning and acquiring agility not many have.

Animals On The Brain

More and more these days it is becoming clear that animal exercises are my bread and butter of conditioning type training and developing strength and agility from a variety of angles. Even after I wake up on some days I just want to move and work my brain through physical movement. The way your body moves and transitioning those neurons in the brain down the spinal cord through animal exercise takes on a whole new meaning to Physical, Mental, Emotional and Psychological Health.

As you move through either opposite arm/leg, hopping on one leg or shifting side to side or forward like a gorilla, your electric impulses create a stronger reaction and open up a chain of muscles you normally don't use like for instance; regular walking, sprinting, yoga and other methods of exercise. You're generating strength through these impulses. Think about it; using your arms as a second pair of legs, creating patterns in your jumping movements, utilizing a variation whether beginner, intermediate or advanced you're using areas of the brain that don't get the usual attention. It doesn't matter if you're right or left brain dominant, you're developing greater potential on using your brain's capacity on a very unique scale.

Yor core doesn't just get stronger and more mobile, it aids in the realm of more than just developing muscle; it strengthens your digestion and strengthens the internal organs. It doesn't matter how big, small or strong or weak you are, if your organs can't keep up there's something wrong there. The mental aspects puts you in a greater state of ease. Scientists to this day are baffled as to how the brain truly works in how we function and how it encompasses a total change after trauma or by some miracle can turn someone who was once an angry person into this amazing and positive individual. They know quite a bit about the brain but haven't scratched the surface yet. The brain can create erratic energy that sends impulses into the bloodstream and give someone great strength or have the nerves go all over the place it's very difficult to stop. Certain diseases/conditions like Alzheimer's, Tourette Syndrome and others have issues with brain function and without proper conditioning for the brain, can lead to a life of misery and suffering. There are certain conditions and diseases that are so far out there that no matter what you do, it just won't go away and it is sad on that count. I myself have had brain trauma that won't ever go away, sure I've made progress in my lifetime but there are things about me that can't fully be explained and areas of my brain are still and always will have problems.

The decision that I have made to not give up and do forms of physical exercise that makes me stronger both inside and out has been a struggle but has given me a stronger sense of purpose that there are ways to build the brain without drugs or excess stimuli and do so with progression systems that just about anyone regardless of age or sex can do. My mission is to spread the word on animal movements and help others find a way to utilize their bodies to make their brains stronger. I was affected at a very young age and was told I would never be that smart or being told I wouldn't have lived passed 2. Unleash the beast and prove everyone wrong not for the sake of proving to them, but proving to yourself.

Going At Your Own Pace To Progress

When you have groups of people or you watch and follow along on a DVD, you're going at the same pace as everyone else. It is a great motivator and it feels like you're a part of a team but not everyone is motivated that way. For some of us, following along just doesn't connect with our brains and we end up being discouraged or just dont have the capacity to keep up with the instructor and/or group.

I learned long ago how to be my own trainer and do what works for me in an effective manner where progression comes natural and flows. I have gone through the areas of following along with an instructor and a group of people but what I was actually doing is getting an idea of how an exercise works. Truth is, I have a totally different chemistry and i'm just not meant to be a part of the same speed, tempo and progression as everyone else. I go by intuition and don't believe in going through exercise so hard it hurts and pushing through pain. I know pain; I've had two broken legs, dented my knees, busted my head open and dropped nearly 200 pounds onto my chest hard from a bench press back in high school. Pain is not something I wish on anyone.

I personally feel that when you progress on your own and learn to be intuitive, you get a very hard sense of what it's like to learn about your body internally and externally. The majority of people follow along because that's what your programmed to do, to be the same as everyone else and feel like you're a part of something. I get it, I've been there and I have done it and it does feel good but at the same time, you're also missing out on yourself more than you think. I'm not saying you shouldn't have a good time, there's nothing wrong with that and you get to meet and learn from new people and it is better than nothing to get in shape. The truth is that both have great benefits and one doesn't necessarily mean their better than one another but there are three types of people in this case; 1 is very intuitive and has better chances of progressing on their own, 2 is that a person likes being with a group or loves to follow along and that works well for them and 3, a person who can do both and strives to learn progressions from both sides and can feed of both.

Now for those playing the home game here; I'm only talking about fitness and exercise, not MMA or Law Enforcement/Military, these ARE things you want to pay attention to and listen and follow along because these things can be life saving and are critical to the development in your field of this caliber. I'm a big fan of Catch Wrestling and Submission style fighting but I can't afford an instructor so I have to make alternatives and learn from other sources on this type of training, I do need an instructor and learn hands on like everyone else and I'm missing out on critical things so I understand that dilemma. I have DVD's that I observe and make key points on and learn pretty well with that but on the other side of the coin, once you have hands on training, there's nothing like it. I have a very small crack of training in CACC from a former friend who recently passed (check out the article Keep Those Hands Up Grandpa for more info) so it is important from this point of view that going at your pace in this sense needs to be with real people and hands on.

 When it comes to exercise, learn and do movements/holds the best way you can and find important elements in how your body handles a particular exercise. If it doesn't work for you than learn what can work and it your abilities making it work for you instead of against you. Experiment and tune into your intuition. Be your own person the best to your abilities because for me, being like everyone else is boring, shallow and unnatural. You were born to be different and you were meant for things that come natural to you, practice what gives you the greatest benefit.

If I may be Frank (not Drebin), I think it's pretty dumb to call these amazing animals a congress for a lot of reasons but I think you can figure that out on your own.

Unlike the wild beast of a baboon, many politicians are quite egotistical, self absorbed and so full of themselves that are only really out for themselves more than for the people of this country. I'm not a political person, just don't like bullies. As a group, crows are called a Murder which describes many political leaders in and of themselves because of the way they run this country. 

Let me ask you this, why pick on or even degrade Baboons in the first place? If you were to really take a shot at one up close, you've just signed your death warrant. They're incredibly strong, powerful and insanely athletic. If you really observe them, you'll find that the toughest and strongest is the Mandrill. The power this monkey possess is just incredible. In a zoo, a friend of mine observed this magnificent beast and for reason its fur was shaved off but the muscles on its abs were incredibly lean and just downright scary to see. Apparently this monkey would give Otto Arco a run for his money. The Mandrill exercise is one incredibly tough exercise that makes the core work like very few can do and even more so, can even chisel those bad boys in no time just a few minutes a day a few times a week. 

Now I'll remind you, this exercise is only for those who have the guts to go after it, doesn't matter if you're a man or woman. I don't believe those greedy blowtards that call themselves politicians would ever go after a crazy exercise like this. They'll just sit in their office chairs or talk at a rally that will boast lie after lie and remain fat, out of shape, rich sweathogs.

Amping Up My Game In The Animal Dice Game

Before I do any big workouts in the day, lately I have been waking up and one of the first things I do is move around like a Bear in the living room going back and forth. I do a total of 100 Bear Crawls to stretch my lower back and get my body moving and it feels amazing, one day I did 200. I have posted several times about the Animal Dice Game on here and on social media and it helps to give those an extra boost on how they can get more out of the game to get stronger and conditioned.

You can create virtually any workout you want with this game and you'll still get tremendous benefit but for me, I just play by rolling for random repetitions and for the random animal and not expecting anything. I stop when I feel I've had enough and after several sessions lately it has helped me learn when to back off and know my limits because the greater you make the game, the tougher it is. Instead of going the regular repetitions of 1-20, I've taken it as far as doing 5 times that amount per animal.

After you get accustomed to going round after round to shorter reps or steps, sometime you might want to challenge yourself and see how wild you can really be. Try doubles (2-40) and see how that goes for a while. After a few weeks or so amp up to triple reps/steps (3-60), for some animals it's going to make you feel the burn big time and really kickstart those hormones. Each time you amp the amount of times per animal, it becomes even more grueling and even if you start on doubles, you'll be doing less rounds. When I began doing 5 times the amount of reps/steps, it really challenged my stamina, strength to move on certain animals and my conditioning. One animal alone was 200 total reps because for that animal I had to do 100 per leg, talk about brutal. I got as far as 20 rounds doing 5x the reps and that was all I can handle. I'd love to see someone pull that off.

This isn't to teach that in order to be in top condition, you do more and more reps, this is to teach that if you get bored, step it up a bit and be creative. You don't have to do reps/steps; you can do yards, feet, roll for distance if you want to race somebody, roll for time either in seconds or minutes whatever you want to do, make it work for you. I do the steps because that's what I like. I'm not going any higher than 5x the amount of steps because what would be the point? I've already made enough progress to where if I lowered the reps, I can go way longer and not tire out. This is for helping me stay conditioned for whatever else I do. The most steps all together in one workout has been 1000 and only have done that now on 2 occasions.

Do what makes you happy in your animal workouts because regardless of a game/workout you do, you'll get awesome results because animal moves force you to move every muscle and stabilize your core in awkward positions. Imagine what these workouts can do for you in your sport, hauling luggage, carrying groceries, going up stairs, able to go for a while on a walk without fatiguing. In combat sports such as wrestling and football, they can help with your arm strength to tackle or throw your opponent because of the crawling you're using the arms as a second pair of legs or they can help create explosiveness in your legs and have you run down the field or tiring out your opponent on the mat because you're so damn fast, he doesn't know what to do and wastes his energy trying to defend you.

It's more than just a game, it can make you a CHAMPION.

Why I Am A Fanatic On Conditioning

When I was going to the gym between 2003 and 2005, I only went to just lift and see what I can do. I had no aspirations for bodybuilding and wanted to be big and lift heavy. Unfortunately I did get hurt a few times and at 19 I once woke up so sore that everything ached and I felt like an 80 year old man trying to get out of bed it hurt so bad. After my accident, everything changed.

In life, certain things happen to you that just remind you of what you were meant to do. No one intentionally wants their legs broken and to this day, I have no real reason why I jumped off that cliff the way I did it and although it's become a joke to many people, in some twisted and messed up way, the universe made me learn a massive lesson. Everything changed the moment my bones broke. I was no longer this kid that loved lifting, I wasn't going to turn into somebody that gave up or just not do anything after he "gets better." Being in that much pain and nearly mentally broken, I hated myself for the entire duration of those near three months. I hated the fact that I had to be in a wheelchair, I hated that I had to have people help me in that state and I hated that being so young that I questioned my very existence.

Even writing this it has gotten me a little emotional because it is something I can never forget no matter how I try or want to block out. I forced myself to endure and face my demons head on. A lot of people got on my case about not going to rehab even before my last surgery. Got sick and tired of being told what I had to do to heal, the way I was told to take care of myself and having to take things for the pain I was about to endure when I walked again. If anyone should tell me what to do it's going to be me only. When I started out with Combat Conditioning all those years ago, all I cared about was healing myself, just doing Hindu Squats, Hindu Push-ups & the Bridge.

As I started learning more about the type of training I was doing and the history behind it, it became more and more clear that this is what I was meant to do with myself. Bodyweight Training did more than just made me stronger, more flexible and far more conditioned than I could ever imagine; it made me appreciate and value the ability to endure day after day, week after week and year after year of consistent training. I became more than what I was at 20 years old. I love being able to keep going and although it was tiring, I only stopped when I felt the need to, not because I had to.

I had learned from hearing guys like Karl Gotch, Matt Furey, John Peterson, Bud Jeffries, Tyler Bramlett & Logan Christopher that conditioning is your greatest asset not just through a sport but through life and conditioning the mind to endure even when it is at its worst. That's why I have become such a fanatic. It makes me want to punch someone in the face when I hear or read about how some of these courses are crap and the person writing them or making a DVD has no business selling or showing people how to get fit. News flash guys, I don't give a rats ass if a course is original or refurbished from the past, if it gives me something to look forward to and brings me great benefit than I'm damn well going to use it. You can mock these guys all you want that's not in my control but don't you fucking dare tell me that their stuff is crap and have no benefit. These guys saved my life one way or another, they gave me tools that have not only made me the way I Am but gave me opportunities to help people and earn a living. I'm in debt to each person I have listed in this paragraph for different reasons but all with the same ending.

I don't have 6 pack abs, I don't have 5% bodyfat and I damn sure don't have 20 inch arms but here are the things that I do have or can do....Respect for athletes who are very well conditioned, the ability to do 500 Hindu Squats, create any workout I see fit without thinking about it, still lift pretty good weight, knowledge on fitness and certain sports not many know today, swim well at my size, enduring legs, a strong core, a solid and powerful neck and so much more. What I do is not impressive nor do I really care to try to impress anyone but I have fought for what I believe in, endured ridicule and bashing of my lifestyle, being called all sorts of names and even being told what I can do is impossible yet I'm still here and doing what I love and conditioned my mind and my soul to keep going every single goddamn day. That's the true mark of conditioning.
